Welcome home Rev. Dr. Robert J. Duncan, Jr. Affectionately known as “Rob.” He lived in the Congers UMC parsonage when his father, Rev. Robert Duncan, Sr pastored Congers UMC from 1954-1960. The current parsonage in which the incumbent pastor and wife reside, was the first parsonage ever built in the history of Congers UMC since 1886. It was built during his father's ministry in 1956, only 2 years after he was appointed.
We welcome him home today as now the founder and President of the Northwind Theological Seminary and Institute, a new, creative, online ecumenical seminary, biblically based with strong Wesleyan roots. President Rob and Bishop J enjoy a long history of shared ministry together as United Methodist Ministers from the 1980s. While Bishop J served as his Bishop from 1996-2004, in October 2024 he appointed Bishop J as Professor for the Study and Practice of Urban Religion at Northwind Seminary.
